VTA community members had a great time on a beautiful Autumn evening in late March at Powlett Reserve Tennis Centre, celebrating the second annual VTA Foundation Day with a fiercely fought tennis competition to have their name and that of their coach partner inscribed on the Championship Cup. We enjoyed the weather, laughter, good company and amazing pizzas, not to mention the tennis, while raising $8000. All these funds are going towards supporting two of VTA Foundation’s major programs – the Rally4Ever program, and the tennis programs being run by VTA for the benefit of the students at the Victorian College for the Deaf.
A parent of children supported by one of our programs writes “Thanks to your unwavering support, you have made it possible for me to keep my three young boys active in a sport they love. This means the world to us, as it provides them with a sense of normalcy and joy during a challenging time.”
Head over to the Foundation website (vtafoundation.org.au) to find out more about our purpose, activities and programs. And ‘Give the Gift of Tennis’ by checking out the Donation tab.
