Dr Gillian Duchesne AM
Secretary
Gill has been a tennis tragic all her life. When she was
head-hunted to migrate to The Peter Mac Cancer Centre Melbourne to pursue her
career in Oncology, she started playing tennis with the Victorian Tennis
Academy. She managed to squeeze coaching and playing hours between the demands
of her position, and when she retired she happily started playing nearly every
day. A diagnosis of MS put an end to that, so she turned her energies into
creating and developing the VTA Foundation, along with many friends! We build
on the VTA tennis community and their long-term commitment to ensuring that
everyone can be included and gain the benefits of tennis, to provide support
for those who would not otherwise be able to join in.
