About the Victorian Tennis Academy Foundation.

Our purpose is to provide support to people living with disabilities and those facing economic and social challenges through the sport of tennis. The Victorian Tennis Academy Foundation (VTAF) was incorporated in December 2021 with the intent to expand the scope and reach of the charitable and community inclusion activities previously undertaken by staff at the Victorian Tennis Academy Foundation (VTA). We have charitable status and are recognised by the ATO as a deductible gift recipient.

The intent of VTAF is to grow and support our community by providing access to fun and inclusive events, whilst raising awareness for other amazing charities and causes related to the tennis world. VTAF has a functioning Board who provide their time and expertise to run the charity, plan and deliver tennis events at VTA venues that strengthen our relationship with the community and support important community initiatives and organisations.

The heart of our work is powered by generosity. It’s the support of individuals and businesses that enables us to create inclusive tennis opportunities, breaking down barriers for those who need it most. Every donation makes a difference—helping us change lives, one game at a time.

What people are saying
  • Thank you, VTAF, for supporting our family during a time when things were not going so well for us. We are proud to be part of the VTA community. We love tennis, and for us, the Friday class in Fawkner Park is the highlight of the week. Because of your support, we were able to keep practising the sport we love and stay involved with the club, building strength and friendship, even when life had some difficult moments, it’s good to know we can count on you. Thank for making us feel like we truly belong. One of us was even able to achieve recognition for tennis at school, I couldn’t have done it without your support and all the coaches. Thank you for supporting our family and for everything you do for the kids at VTA, It really means a lot.”

  • I am writing to inform you of the benefits and positive impact the VTA clinics and workshops have had on our school and students. Participating in sporting activities has numerous benefits for students and the VTA was able to provide us with qualified teachers to increase the student’s engagement with physical activity that requires coordination, ball skills and teamwork. After participating in the classes, students had a renewed excitement for practicing a new skill but also in practicing resilience and having a positive mindset. VTA was able to provide our students with insight into a new sport and what extracurricular activities can be.

  • I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible support and generosity you have shown my family during this difficult period. Becoming a single parent after the loss of my children’s father has been an overwhelming experience, but your kindness has truly brought tears to my eyes. Thanks to your unwavering support, you have made it possible for me to keep my three young boys active in a sport they love. This means the world to us, as it provides them with a sense of normalcy and joy during a challenging time. Your generosity has made a significant Impact on our lives, and we are forever grateful. Thank you for being there for us when we needed it the most. With deepest appreciation,
